3rd day of SA2

Knocked off time for today will be 2359hrs…

Khim called to say that she is not feeling well & unable to come for tuition today. Can my kids revised their work on their own for tomorrow’s Science paper? “Mummy, Science is our favourite subjects lah.” This is what my kids used to tell me, I try to reassure myself, don’t worry, my kids will know what to do…

2nd day of SA2

I got to work late again … & my handphone rang, “Lilian, you didn’t tell your sons I’m coming today?”

“I did I did!!!” I remembered clearly when I told Johnson yesterday that Khim will be coming today & he was extremely angry cos he hated having tuition everyday. He also gave me a call & shouted at me, “Why the tuition teacher come in today?” “She is here to help you to revise for your Chinese exam tomorrow.”

My sons, do you know that Mummy wished that she can be by your side & revising your work with you? Making sure that you take note of the main/important points.

New laptop

Hahaha, my new laptop is ready for collection, it is much lighter than the one which I’m using now. Goodbye T42, welcome X60!!!

I’m gonna missed you as you have been with me for the past 2 years & due to the excessive use, there are 2 ‘P’s on your keyboard instead of 1 ‘P’ and 1 ‘R’. ‘R’ has dropped its tail just like the lizard.

Concall with Worldwide

This is my first concall with Worldwide (people involved are from USA & EMEA), I’m quite excited over the call as this is the chance for us to ask questions on how things are being handled by the other Geo.

The call was scheduled at 9pm & started with EMEA & US presenting their processes & in between there will be Q&A session. We were surprised to hear the numbers of quotes that they handled are so much greater as compared to APAC, we (me & my teamlead) were dumbfounded though we are proud of our 100% check. Heehee…小巫见大巫

SAP testing started…

SAP testing will start today & targeted date to close all outputs by 7 Nov 2007, since this is my first attempt, pray hard I can do well!!!

Luckily Adelene & Oi Lin were here to help us on the testing as Madelene & myself are brand new testers, based on their explanation, the process sound easy cos the tests were related to our daily work. And if there is any error, we will have to log a problem log, etc. Heeheehee…something new.

20% vs 50%

Mummy : Johnson, next time when you start working, can you give mummy 20% of your pay?

Johnson : Huh, why 20%? I’ll give you 50%.

Mummy : Are you sure? So much?

Johnson : Ya, anyway I also don’t know what to buy.

I was surprised by Johnson’s reply & I told him I’ll document this in our blog so he has to fulfill his promise when he started to work. Heeheehee… how good if this is true!

Hamper?

Took 2 days leave & hope I can do some revision with my kids as their SA2 are on the last week of the month whereby I have to work late. And as expected, they are more interested in playing computer games than studying.

While they were still sleeping in the morning, I make a trip to Concorde Shopping Centre to collect my prize. A Bioessence hamper that worth $100+…and I really have a hard time finding my way to Concorde Shopping Centre.

Squeaky is gone

Why are there ants around the cage? Why Squeaky is covered with strips of newspaper & he is not moving? Squeaky is dead... ... what happened, yes, he has been losing fur & his leg bleed the other day after being attacked by Cutie but he has recovered...

Squeaky is gone... has Cutie covered him with the newspapers?

Hope you love the glass "coffin" we buried you with & Rest in Peace!

Why you never?

Was awaken by the heavy rain this morning & heard Allyson sneezing.

The next moment, she said "tissue, tissue" & I rushed out to the sitting room to get a piece of tissue for her. Then she sneezed again & asked, "Why you never take the whole box?"... ... I was dumbfounded.

P.S. LG used to bring in the whole box of tissue for her & she expected same from me :(

Trip to Asian Civilisation Museum

Happy Children Day!!!

Brought my kids to Asian Civilisation Museum at Empress Place & it was a scary experience there. We started off by visiting Level 2 & there was a group of Tourist & their guide is explaining to them about the display. When we reached the "China section", there were 2 huge (huge!) statues of the Hell Gods & these really frightened my kids. So we left the room & proceed to Level 3.

We walked into the SE Asia room & were surprised that there was no one & a kind of eerie feeling came into us & we were so scare (of cos I tried to stay calm) that we found the nearest exit & walked down the stairs, upon reaching Level 1 we found that it was an emergency exit & if we forced open the door, the alarm will ring & at the same time, my handphone rang (alamak who call me at this time??? It was my colleague & he wanted to tell me about the reorg...but this is not the right time to talk). We ran up to Level 2 & exit through the main staircases & had a good rest at the lobby. Hiaz, I think it is not a good idea to bring young kids to the museum where they have scary thoughts of the things they looked at (esp when we first reach the place, we heard a boy telling his mother that it is so scary & my kids started to ask me, "Mummy, is it scary in there?"), though I have reassured them that these are displays & there is nothing to worry about... ...

After all the excitement, we took a walk to the Esplanade Park & took some pictures there & left for home.

"Aiyah, so lame, must well stay at home to play computer..." - commented by the kids. My effort wasted??? Hope not, at least they knew what is in Asian Civilisation Museum.
